Georgetown is the county seat, and the housing has more layers than the newer suburbs south of it. The streets around the Square have older homes. Berry Creek and Cimarron Hills are built around golf courses, with larger homes and yards. Sun City Texas is a 55+ community that opened in 1996 and has grown to several thousand homes, where the garage door is an everyday entrance. Wolf Ranch and Rancho Sienna are newer master-planned neighborhoods. The mix means springs, openers and doors from three or four decades are all on the same service route.

In Sun City Texas and similar communities, a garage door is often the main way in and out. A dead opener is more than an inconvenience. We check the manual release, the wall button and the remotes, and can talk through a battery backup or a larger wall button for easier use.
Houses near the Square and in the older subdivisions can still have original springs and rollers. Springs are rated for a set number of cycles, and an old door that has been opened thousands of times often needs springs, cables and rollers together.
Berry Creek and Cimarron Hills have larger properties, and some homes there may have private drive gates. If you have a driveway gate, ask about the operator, battery and keypad when you call about repairs.
Hail and high wind hit Central Texas in many years. Dented panels, bent tracks and a door pushed off its rollers are common after a storm. Photograph the damage for your insurance claim before any repair.
From the Round Rock office, take E Main St to I-35 and head north to Georgetown. Berry Creek and the northern neighborhoods are further along SH 195 and Ronald Reagan Blvd, and the Square is a short drive off I-35.
