Gate and garage door service in Bee Cave

Golf-course lots, hilltop houses and acreage behind a gate: that is a typical Bee Cave call. We repair and install gate openers there, and we work on the garage doors too.

The homes in Bee Cave

Bee Cave is a small city of about 9,000 people just west of Austin, and the housing varies a lot. Spanish Oaks is a high-end gated community with custom homes, Homestead has lots of one to nine acres west of RM 620, and Falconhead and Lake Pointe mix golf and family neighborhoods. Larger lots and gated entrances mean driveway gates are common, and big custom garages often have oversize or custom-finish doors.

What we see in Bee Cave

Dark-sky lighting and gate keypads

Bee Cave is an International Dark-Sky Community, so exterior lighting is kept low and shielded. A keypad or call box with a harsh bright backlight can clash with that. We can talk through lower-glare keypad and lighting options on a new access control job.

Acreage gates with long drives

On a one to nine acre lot, the gate can sit hundreds of feet from the garage. Power, signal range and safety loops all need to be checked at that distance, and a solar operator is sometimes worth a look when running power is costly.

Custom and oversize garage doors

Custom garage doors are common in the higher-end neighborhoods. They can be heavier than a stock door, and replacement panels and hardware are not always off the shelf. We tell you up front when a part needs to be ordered.

Weather on exposed hilltops

Wind and sun hit hilltop gates harder than a sheltered lot. We look at hinge wear, post movement and sun-faded operator covers on every gate repair visit.

Bee Cave questions

Can you install a new driveway gate in Bee Cave?

Yes. A new gate or gate opener starts with a free on-site quote because the price depends on the width, the gate type, the slope and the power run. Gate openers install from $2,495 for a single swing and $1,995 for a slide, and a full gate is quoted after we see the site.

My gate keypad works but the gate will not move. What should I check?

Look for a tripped breaker or a dead backup battery, then check whether the gate is blocked or has slipped off its track or hinges. If you hear the motor but see no movement, the arm or the drive may be disconnected. Call us and we will diagnose it. A gate service call starts at $95.

Do you replace garage door openers as well as gate openers?

Yes. A new chain-drive opener starts at $449 installed, a belt-drive at $599 and a wall-mount at $899. Opener repair starts at $129 plus parts.

How fast can you get to Bee Cave?

Open daily 7am to 8pm, and you get an arrival window on the call. The drive is from our Round Rock office. An emergency visit outside those hours adds a $149 trip fee.
