PRICE BEFORE WORK

Every entry in this chapter

  1. No. 01Spring replacementA broken spring is the most common reason a door stops working. We size the new spring to your door, balance it, and tell you the price before we start.from $229
  2. No. 02Cable and roller repairCables carry the door's weight and rollers guide it. When either wears out, the door tilts, grinds or drops. We replace the worn parts and tell you the price first.from $149
  3. No. 03Off-track repairA door that has jumped its track is out of balance and unsafe to run. We find out why it came off, set it back, and repair the parts that let it happen.from $149
  4. No. 04Opener repairMany dead openers turn out to be a sensor, a setting or a worn gear, not a dead motor. We diagnose first and tell you if a repair or a replacement makes more sense.from $129
  5. No. 05Opener installationWe choose the drive type for your door and your household, mount it correctly, set the force and test the safety reverse before we leave. The price is quoted before we start.from $449
  6. No. 06New garage doorsA new door changes how your house looks and how your garage feels. We help you choose the insulation, style and track hardware, then install and balance it with the price set up front.from $899
  7. No. 07Panel replacementSometimes you can swap one section instead of the whole door. We check whether a matching panel exists, tell you what it costs, and say so if a new door makes more sense.from $349
  8. No. 08Tune-upYour garage door is the heaviest moving thing in the house. A yearly check catches worn cables, rollers and sensors before they fail, and keeps the door quiet and balanced.from $120
  9. No. 09Smart openersWe add phone control to the opener you have when it can take it, and install a new smart opener when it can't. We check your opener's model before we sell you anything.from $129

A garage door is a balanced machine. The springs do the lifting, the opener only guides it, and when one part fails the rest start wearing out fast.

That is why every visit starts with a full look at springs, cables, drums, rollers, tracks and the opener, not only the part that broke. You get the findings and the price in writing before we start.

Most of what we do is repair. When a new door or opener makes more sense, we say so and show you why, and when it does not, we say that too.

Questions people ask on the phone

What is the most common garage door repair?

A broken torsion spring. Springs are rated for a set number of open-and-close cycles, and most doors in Round Rock and Austin get used several times a day. Single springs start at $229 and pairs at $349.

Should I repair or replace my garage door?

Most doors are worth repairing. Springs, cables, rollers, openers and single panels can all be replaced. A new door makes sense when several panels are damaged, the model is discontinued, or you want better insulation or a different look. We tell you which way the numbers point.

Do you charge for the service call?

A door service call is $49, and it is waived when you approve a repair on that visit.

Do you work on all opener brands?

We service the brands we see most in Central Texas, including LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Genie, and we tell you honestly when an old opener is not worth fixing.

What warranty do you give on garage door work?

One year on our labor. Parts carry their manufacturer warranty.
